About

My name is Nic Hamley and I have lived in Melbourne my entire life. I took up cycling at the age of 16 after having a knee reconstruction from playing Aussie rules and have since become obsessed with it. Like my other passions, skiing and music, I love the freedom it gives you and how great you feel moving fast under your own power.

I try to get out as often as possible but, during winter, I seem to spend more time on the wind trainer than on the bike.

I've now been riding for 6 years, including some time working in the industry, so I have a bit of know-how. I am also the president of the Melbourne University Cycling Club (www.mucyc.org) But mostly, this blog is aimed to discuss recent experiences on the bike, trending cycling news and various other bits and pieces.

I hope you enjoy reading as much as I enjoy writing.

Safe riding,

Nic.
